McCartney and ‘Butterfly’ - what a show!

BBC’s Electric Proms season 2007 sees Outline's Butterfly line array return for a long season. Supplied by Britannia Row Productions, the system consists of 24 high/mid cabinets and 8 Subtech 218s, powered by Outline's new T9 amplifiers and controlled via Dolby Lake processors.

The Roundhouse specified the system after last year's audition of BRP’s latest acquisition.

It was a unanimous "Yes" by all the technical staff at the Roundhouse and BBC crews alike to Butterfly's encore.

This year (as last) saw the rebuilt Roundhouse host a fantastic roster of world-famous artists. One of the many highlights was Sir Paul McCartney, who performed Beatles and Wings hits together with his latest compositions.

Anche il mito dei Beatles riprodotto dal Butterfly di Britannia Row, impianto “resident” alla ‘Roundhouse’ di Londra

Roundhouse, il vasto edificio nel quartiere di Camden nella zona nord di Londra, originariamente una rimessa per locomotive, diviene negli anni '60 centro per le più diverse e innovative forme di rappresentazione artistica, dove arte, musica, danza e teatro si fondono e si mescolano con atteggiamenti politici radicali, dando vita a eccentrici happening artistici, forme di spettacolo sperimentali, espressioni musicali di confine.

Electric Proms è una trasmissione settimanale che viene ripresa alla Roundhouse dalla BBC Inglese e trasmessa ‘live’ sui canali dedicati e nella quale passano regolarmente artisti di livello planetario.

In questo tempio della musica vi è un impianto "resident" Outline, fornito e gestito da Britannia Row Productions; il sistema è composto da 24 Butterfly e da 10 Subtech 218 pilotati da elettroniche sempre della casa.
