Megafone changes to Butterfly

After years of satisfied use of an Outline Doppia “Point Source System”, Portuguese company Megafone is changing to Butterfly, Outline’s internationally famous line-array.

Founded in ’98 by Eduardo Machado, José Manuel Machado and Miguel Andrade, Megafone (www.megafone.com.pt) is one of the busiest rental companies in Portugal and specializes in sound reinforcement for concerts, festivals, musicals and high profile shows.

The recently purchased Outline system comprises a total of twelve CDH 483 Hi-packs, supported by eight Victor Live subwoofers; all powered by “T” series digital power amps and processed by Genius 26 DSP.

On the occasion of the changeover to the Outlinearray, Portugal’s Megafone also decided to buy four Outline DVS 10 full-range enclosures (1x10”; 1x1”), for use as all-purpose systems.

After the purchase of the Outline equipment, Megafone co-owner José Manuel Machado commented, “First of all, we’d like to thank you for the friendliness and hospitality, as well as the way in which you welcomed us at Outline. It was our second visit and we confirm the great pleasure it was to ‘experience’ your company generally speaking, not only during the two days of efficient training, which were so well run by your technical staff. This is another big step for us at Megafone (as was the case in 2003, when we bought the Doppia system) and, for the mere fact of having a Butterfly rig, we’re sure we’ll obtain even more work. We know we’ve invested in a relatively ‘small’ system, but also know that this is just the beginning and we’ll soon add other modules – we’ll work to grow, as we always have. Last but not least, we’re proud to finally belong to the network of companies that own Outlinearray. Megafone passa a Butterfly

Dopo anni di soddisfazioni in seguito all’utilizzo di un ‘Point Source System’ Outline Doppia, i portoghesi della “Megafone” passano a Butterfly, il line-array Outline di fama internazionale.

Fondata nel ’98 da Eduardo Machado, José Manuel Machado e Miguel Andrade, la Megafone (www.megafone.com.pt) è una tra le più attive rental company in Portogallo e si occupa della sonorizzazione di concerti, festival, musical e spettacoli di alto profilo.

Il sistema Outline oggetto del recente acquisto è composto da un totale di 12 Hi-pack CDH 483 supportati da 8 subwoofer Victor Live; il tutto amplificato dai finali digitali della serie ‘T’ e processato dai DSP ‘Genius 26’.

In occasione del passaggio all’Outlinearray i portoghesi di Megafone hanno deciso anche per l’acquisto di 4 diffusori full-range Outline DVS 10 (1x10”; 1x1”), da impiegare quali sistemi multi-purpose.

Ecco i commenti di José Manuel Machado, co-titolare di Megafone, in seguito all’acquisto del materiale Outline: “Prima di tutto vi vorremmo ringraziare per la simpatìa e l’ospitalità nonchè per il modo con il quale ci avete ricevuti in Outline. È stata la seconda visita e confermiamo il grande piacere nel ‘vivere’ la vostra azienda in genere; non solo nel corso di quei due giorni di efficace training, peraltro così ben gestito da parte del vostro personale tecnico. Questo è un altro grande passo per noi di Megafone (lo fu anche nel 2003 quando acquistammo il sistema ‘Doppia’) e, per il solo fatto di possedere Butterfly, siamo certi che otterremo ancora più lavoro. Sappiamo di aver investito in un sistema relativamente ‘piccolo’ ma sappiamo anche che questo è solo l’inizio e che presto aggiungeremo altri moduli; lavoreremo per crescere come abbiamo sempre fatto. E per ultimo, ma non meno importante, siamo orgogliosi, finalmente, di appartenere al network di aziende che possiedono Outlinearray. Faremo la nostra parte qui in Portogallo nel concorrere a dimostrare perché questo “favoloso” sistema è così acclamato in tutto il mondo. Grazie ancora.”
