Release N° 2 of
the V.I.P. (Vector Implementation Protocol) program dedicated to the Outline
Butterfly line array system is finally available.
In spite of the fact that the first version was absolutely the best software of its type on the market, the new version sets even higher exclusive function standards.
The part of the program regarding the aiming both flown and stacked systems has been redesigned, in order to achieve almost absolute precision between prediction and reality. This precision cannot be further improved, as it only depends on factors outside the system, whose choice depends entirely on users, such as cable weight and positioning.
The result of calculations involved in the aiming function - obtained using five specific manual and semi-automatic commands, plus other two completely automatic commands (which in turn lead to nine different aiming variations) - is a single screen showing absolutely all the mechanical and acoustic information necessary for riggers and system engineers to proceed with the installation of each single array.
Much more than a mere Vertical Line Array "aimer", V.I.P. 2 offers simulations of not only the SPL for each point in the area in question, but also frequency simulations in 1/3 octave.
As a natural complement to the virtual RTA spectrum analyzer already included in the previous version, a virtual automatic 1/3 octave equalizer has been implemented in the new version, enabling users to predict even the equalization to be used on systems to obtain the required frequency responses in the required listening area.
These frequency response targets can be easily formed and personalized by users, but numerous standard frequency response targets suggested by specialist publications for each type of listening situation are also provided.
The program is so efficient that it can simulate up to sixteen different sound systems simultaneously, made up of Hi-Packs (Outline Butterfly’s mid-high sections), Lo-Packs (Outline Butterfly low sections) and Outline Victor Live subwoofers, positioned to cover up to eight different listening areas simultaneously, and all in a really short time – a lot less than any other software at present on the market.
This, and many other variations, makes V.I.P. 2 an even more exclusive product on the international scenario.

Finalmente si è resa
disponibile la release n° 2 di V.I.P., Vector Implementation Protocol, programma
di puntamento dedicato al sistema line array Butterfly di Outline.
La nuova versione,
nonostante già la prima rappresentasse in assoluto il miglior programma del
genere presente sul mercato, raggiunge livelli funzionali ancora più elevati ed
esclusivi.
È stata riprogettata
la parte del programma attinente al puntamento sia per sistemi sospesi sia per
i sistemi appoggiati, in modo da ottenere una precisione tra previsione e
realtà quasi assoluta e non ulteriormente migliorabile perchè dipendente solo
da fattori esterni al sistema (la cui determinazione è necessariamente nelle
mani dell'utilizzatore, quali il peso dei cavi ed il loro posizionamento).
L'output della
funzione di puntamento, che è ottenuta attraverso l'uso di 5 specifici comandi
tra manuali e semi-automatici ed altri 2 comandi totalmente automatici che a
loro volta danno luogo a 9 varianti diverse di puntamento, fornisce un'unica
schermata omni-comprensiva di tutte le informazioni meccano/acustiche
necessarie al rigger ed al ‘system engineer’ per disporre l'installazione di
ogni singolo array.
Molto più di un
semplice "puntatore" per Vertical Line Array, V.I.P. 2 consente
simulazioni non solo del livello SPL per ogni punto dell'area considerata, ma
anche simulazioni in frequenza a terzi di ottava.
Nella nuova
versione, a naturale completamento del già presente analizzatore di spettro RTA
virtuale, è stato implementato un altrettanto virtuale equalizzatore automatico
a terzi di ottava che consente all'utilizzatore di prevedere persino quale
potrà essere l'equalizzazione da apportare al sistema o ai sistemi per ottenere
target prestabiliti di risposta in frequenza sull'area d'ascolto desiderata.
I target sono facilmente
costruibili e personalizzabili dall'utente, ma sono forniti anche molti
"target" di risposte in frequenza standard suggerite dalla
letteratura specializzata per ogni situazione d'ascolto.
Il programma è
talmente efficiente da simulare contemporaneamente sino a 16 sistemi di
sonorizzazione diversi, componibili tra Hi-Pack sezione medio-alti
Queste e molte altre
varianti migliorative rendono V.I.P. 2 ancora più esclusivo nel panorama
internazionale.
